Youth and Young Adult

Youth Ministry Mission Statement: The youth Ministry of Holy Family Parish is in place for the young people of the parish so that we may fulfill the challenge of the Holy Father when he gave youth ministry three goals.

(1) empowering young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today,
(2) drawing young people to responsible participation the life, mission and work of the faith community,
(3) fostering the personal and spiritual growth of each young person" (Renewing the Vision).

We plan to achieve these goals using eight components which are essential to youth ministry: "advocacy, catechesis, community life, evangelization, justice and service, leadership development, pastoral care, and prayer and worship" (Renewing the Vision).

The Youth of Holy Family Parish meet on Wednesday nights: youth group will take place from 6:00 - 6:30 and Youth Ministry will take place from 6:30 - 8:00 PM.  Aside from our weekly Youth Group, we will also partake in retreats, conferences, and fun adventures throughout the year.

YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY:  It can be difficult in our world today to be a young Catholic adult, and with this in mind we will give the young adults in their late teens, twenties, and thirties a place to deepen their relationship with Christ and continue to educate  themselves in the Catholic Church.  This includes but isn't limited to college students, professional, those who serve in the military, single, married and those with or without children.  Young adult ministry is diverse and encourages all of those within the age group as stated above to join us when we meet which is still being determined.  we will have Bible studies, speakers, prayer and fellowship for the young adults of the area.  All are welcome so please join us!  For more information please contact Abby Pollart at 580.536.6351, or email apollart@holyfamilylawton.org
