Byzantine Series on the Nativity

Zoom Talks during the NativityFast

The fourth week of the Nativity Fast will bring us again into the cloud of witnesses, the saints and specifically the martyrs who are the foundation of the Church. Seminarian Andrew Clayton from the Waco Byzantine Catholic Outreach, will lead us in this fourth Zoom Talk.

Each presentation is recorded and put on our YouTube page (St. Basil the Great Byzantine Catholic Parish DFW) for later viewing by those unable to connect at the time of the live stream.

Last week's  zoom on St. Nicholas and the Council of Nicea is still being processed. The link to the recording will be sent out in the next few days. Please share this information (to live stream or recordings) with anyone who would benefit from these talks.

The Show-Me State holds remarkable treasures of faith and history that tell the story of Catholicism in America's heartland. From soaring cathedrals to historic chapels, to shrines of saints, to monasteries. These will be the religious sites on the pilgrimage. St. Louis is nicknamed “Rome of the West” because it was once a place from which missionaries were sent all over the world. The many Catholic institutions add to this claim.

Daily prayer (or Mass) will be offered in each shrine or church, along with an explanation and commentary.
