Catholic Charities Annual Appeal, September 27-28, 2025
Dear Holy Family,
At Holy Family we are blessed with many opportunities to serve those in need. As Catholics, we are called to be instruments of Christ's love, mercy, and compassion. In 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, we're reminded that though we are many parts, we form one body in Christ - journeying together in hope.
Next weekend (September 27-28, 2025), we're promoting the Catholic Charities Annual Appeal. In the spirit of this year's theme, Pilgrims of Hope, we are invited to walk alongside those facing hardship and offer light through shelter, counseling, and emergency assistance.
Here's how you can help:
- Donate - Every gift supports life-changing services.
- Volunteer - Your time and talents make a real difference.
- Pray - Lift up this effort and those we serve in prayer.
If you can't attend Mass, you can give anytime at https://www.catholiccharitiesok.org/DONATE
Or mail your gift to:
Catholic Charities
1232 N. Classen Blvd.
Oklahoma City, OK 73106
Thank you for being part of this journey of faith and hope. Your generosity brings comfort and dignity to those who need it most.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Phil Seeton

Obituary
Eusebius Joseph Beltran, Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, died September 12, 2025, at age 91.
“Archbishop Beltran was indeed a good shepherd,” Archbishop Paul S. Coakley said. “He served as a bishop in Oklahoma for many years, both as bishop in the Diocese of Tulsa and here in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. His accomplishments are numerous to be sure.”
Eusebius Joseph Beltran was born in Ashley, Pennsylvania, on August 31, 1934, the son of Joseph C. Beltran and Helen Rita Kozlowski. Joseph was born in Spain and migrated to Pennsylvania where he worked in the coal mines. Helen was second generation Polish and a homemaker.
Many of his family moved to Georgia in the 1950s. Of the eight siblings, four chose the religious life. Two became priests and two religious women.
His college and theological schooling were received at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Overbrook, Pennsylvania. He was ordained a priest in The Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta, Georgia, on May 14, 1960, by Most Rev. Francis E. Hyland.
In addition to serving in many parish assignments, he was appointed presiding judge of the Metropolitan Tribunal and later vicar general. He accompanied Archbishop Paul Hallinan to the sessions of Vatican Council II.
Divine Liturgy September 14, 2025

Security at Holy Family
Security at Holy Family Church
During Mass and events the doors are to remain locked. People can come 10 minutes late and still enter but after this the doors are locked by the ushers. THE DOORS ARE NOT TO BE PROPPED OPEN at any time before, during or after Mass or events.
You are able to exit the doors from the inside, no one is “locked in.”
We have applied for a grant to cover the windows in the narthex with bullet resistant film and the church windows will follow.
These and other precautions are to keep all of us safe. Please follow these simple rules for the sake of all.

Please Take Note - Parking During Mass
Dear Holy Family,
Please do not park in a handicapped space if you do not have a placard or a state-issued handicapped license plate.
Not only is this illegal it is also inconsiderate of those who need the spaces.
Please do not park in rectory driveway. This is not a parking space and causes issues that will not be tolerated.
Law enforcement will be patrolling the parking lot during Mass and you will be ticketed if you do not have a visible placard, sticker or driver's license plate.
Ticketing will begin next weekend.
Thank you,
Fr. Phil
